10 Essential DLC Packs That Complete Your Favourite Video Games

7. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad Of Gay Tony

Although Grand Theft Auto V is yet to receive any single-player DLC, Grand Theft Auto IV managed to release two awesome story packs. The best of these is The Ballad of Gay Tony.

The Ballad of Gay Tony is presented from the view of Gay Tony's assistant, Luis Lopez, who is arguably one of the best characters in the game. Luis already has a lot of money, which essentially means the story DLC starts in a position that Niko only managed to achieve at the end of the game.

One of the biggest strengths of The Ballad of Gay Tony is its brighter tone. The original release of Grand Theft Auto IV was considered much too dark and gritty for most people, which is massively fixed by the focus on drugs, nightclubs, and money that The Ballad of Gay Tony has. There's a real Vice City vibe to it.

This new tone also seeps into the gameplay, finally introducing parachutes, base-jumping, dancing, and all new weapons. All of the additions in Ballad of Gay Tony work to make Grand Theft Auto IV a more fun experience, making it the best DLC the series has seen so far.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
