Even though in reality you have to complete less than twenty of them over a 40-hour playthrough, having to figure out the Sudoku-like puzzles in Andromeda can feel overwhelming enough to make you rage-quit the whole thing.

And yeah, maybe I was in the minority when it comes to the challenge that these puzzles actually pose, but there's no denying that their constant recurrence in the main quest brings the game's pacing to a standstill.

They're thrown at you constantly in the early hours, meaning that every time you arrive at an interesting new area, you're forced to search and scan for the missing symbols you need to start the puzzle and then figure out the right answer before you can progress.

One of these steps on their own would have been acceptable, but having to do both turns Andromeda's sense of adventure into an exhausting grind. To help keep the game moving along nicely, any time you see a merchant on your travels, make sure you buy the key that automatically completes these puzzles for you.

You can thank me later.
