10 Extremely Expensive Upcoming Video Games (That Have Already Flopped)

8. Jump Force

STAR Citizen
Bandai Namco

With the success of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco seems keen on continuing their fighting game hot streak with Jump Force, a far more ambitious (financially and technically) fighter where characters across the anime world do battle in epic fashion.

First shown off during E3 2018, the title looks extremely impressive, boasting incredible visuals and presentation that was spot on for a game featuring such larger-than-life characters.

However, even with all of that said, Jump Force faces the massive challenge that is its direct competition. Sure, Dead or Alive 6 may not be big competition for it, but only a week after is the craziness that is February 22nd; the day Metro Exodus, Crackdown 3, and Anthem all release.

Jump Force faces a major uphill battle with its release window alone, only having a week before it could get immediately overshadowed.

Jump Force will likely be a huge hit with fans, but won't have the strong initial numbers Bandai Namco will hope for. This is a release window that will cause several disappointments, and this is just the first for this list.
