9. The Ultimatum Ending - The Devil In Me
The Devil in Me is the last and final game in the second season of the Dark Pictures Anthology series. It follows a group of filmmakers as they try to escape a booby-trapped hotel run by a psychotic serial killer.
As is the case with Supermassive Games' various efforts, The Devil in Me contains multiple endings for you to explore.
The most interesting one, which coincidentally is considered one of the rarest as well, is the Ultimatum Ending.
To get the ending, you need to reach the final act of the game with only Kate and Mark surviving the night at the hotel.
After the rest of their crew is killed, the killer will capture Kate and Mark and offer the latter an ultimatum - Mark has to help the killer lure another group into the hotel or watch as he fills Kate’s body with acid.
If you agree to help him, you get a cutscene where Kate and Mark nervously welcome the killer's new victims into the hotel before leaving the area on a ferry. The ferry then stops halfway through, and as the game fades to black, you hear two gunshots, implying the killer has shot your final survivors.
Well, that’s what you get for helping the devil.
