10 Famous Last Words That Made Awesome Video Game Moments
6. "Nail Me To The F***ing Cross And Let Me Be REBORN!" - Vaas (Far Cry 3)
Seemingly from out of nowhere, Far Cry 3 ended up being a pretty impressive game. A new focus on story was key but creating an engaging villain and letting him run rampant was a masterstroke by Ubisoft. From the very beginning of the game, Vaas is the sort of evil figure that you just can't quite bring yourself to hate fully. His rambling monologues and cynical outlook on life made him dominate any scene he was in, always offering something to look forward to. Unfortunately, he is taken out of the game far too early but his final scenes are still pretty intriguing. Jason enters a dreamy state and kills several visions of Vaas before confronting the madman himself. Here, Vaas' deluded personality takes control and he orders Jason to accept him as his saviour before comparing himself to Jesus, stating: "Nail me to the f***ing cross and let me be REBORN!". Vaas' finest moment is the crazed, cynical insanity monologue from earlier in the game but his death scene (and final outcry) is a finely crafted moment which offers one last look at the true definition of insanity.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
