10 Fan-Demanded Video Game Sequels That Should NEVER Happen
9. Dino Crisis 4
While a lot of the other entries on this list would struggle to be revived thanks to their dated mechanics or gameplay philosophies, Dino Crisis' issue would be directly in its design. The original dropped in '99, and the series' aesthetic was rooted in that weird blend of late 90s and early 2000s over stylization, all PVC leather and sunglasses indoors.
That, of course, was part of its charm, and this weird mesh up of survival horror, Jurassic Park and The Matrix was why the game worked. The rudimentary graphics of the time actually worked in its favour; scary enough to evoke genuine tension but vague enough to not draw too much attention to the stylistic dissonance on display.
Consequently, while a return to the franchise would indeed be a nostalgic whirlwind, a true sequel would struggle to mesh its roots with modern game design. A remake/remaster though? That would be absolutely perfect, and Capcom need to make it happen.
