10 Fearsome Video Game Women You Should Never Mess With
3. Resident Evil - Jill Valentine
Jill, over nearly everyone on this list, really deserves a drink and some R&R. But...
Jill is the most well-known of the female faces of Resident Evil, with only Claire Redfield coming close - the previously mentioned Sheva hasn't been in nearly as many games as Jill has.
From an elite member of S.T.A.R.S. to a relentless survivor, to Albert Wesker's pawn, Jill has had a hand in, or influence on several events over the course of the series. Very capable in hand-to-hand combat, and proficient with the use of various firearms, her combat abilities combined with an innate knowledge of the bio-weapons, make her a force to be reckoned with against the various bio-terrorists that are constantly the antagonists of the series.
"I'm getting too old for this sh*t"
Jill's latest outing in the Resident Evil series was a game called Resident Evil: Revelations which (surprise!) actually attempted to be scary.
Set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, the game details how Jill, among other B.S.A.A. agents, is sent to the Mediterranean in order to investigate the assumed disappearance of operatives Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherot. Unlike Resident Evil 5, which has been out for a while, Revelations is relatively new so I'll be light on the spoilers.
Jill's mission takes her and partner, Parker Luciani, are sent to a floating ship called Queen Zenobia, which (surprise!) is infested with all manner of B.O.W. monstrosities - as seen above.
The core of the game is a new derivative of the T-Virus, the T-Abyss virus, a contagion engineered for marine distribution. As usual, there's a hotbed of betrayal and double-allegiances (even for a Resident Evil game - this was a straight up clusterf*ck in terms of double-crossing), yet somehow, Jill and Chris, (and... pretty much everybody?) manage to escape unharmed; something that is a first for a Resident Evil game.
Despite a change in her hair, her abilities, her briefly being enslaved, and the ever-evolving nature of the bio-weapons she has to face, Jill consistently, and methodically is able to handle anything thrown her way - although she's not the only heroine who's ever been barraged by freaks.
