The Just Cause serious has always raised the stakes with each iteration, starting with a mostly ground-based Rico in the first game, giving him a wingsuit in the second, to wingsuit/jetpack shenanigans in the third. So it was going to be interesting to see where they went with a fourth instalment, and the answer?
Mad, mad weather mechanics.
It's not all bad, though. A strong breeze will aid Rico in his flight, lightning strikes wipe out everyone and sandstorms made good vantage for getaways.
But what helps can also hinder, as you can be struck by any number of untethered objects, storms can knock you out of the sky and blizzards can hamper your flight skills.
It was a welcome addition after the third game failed to blow people away, but it makes you wonder what any further games will have. Meteor strikes? Alien invasions...?
