10 Fighting Game Bosses That Made You DESTROY Controllers

8. Akuma (Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Edition)

Tekken 7 Kazuya Vs Heihachi
Capcom

Particularly talented players of Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Edition may be able to finish the game with a few perfect rounds and super finishes under their belt. If they have enough of them, instead of facing M.Bison, they'll face an unnamed character. Of course, we all know this is Akuma, and in Street Fighter II he was notoriously hard.

To understand what makes "Super Turbo"'s version of Akuma so difficult, you need to understand that the game's AI is designed to leech your change. It does this by reading your inputs and countering it. Super Turbo is very, very good at it.

When you unlock the fight against Akuma, it's as if the game has worked out that you know all its tricks. So in addition to all the input reading shenanigans, Akuma is a faster, stronger version of Ryu and Ken. He also has access to aerial fireballs, and a command grab super that will kill you instantly.

Capcom really wants your pocket change. Akuma is the bully they sent to get it out of you.
