Death's Door centres around a crow who reaps souls to bring balance to the afterlife. In the closing moments, the feathered reaper encounters The Lord of Doors - an entity who's close the door to his own mortality.

Desperate to live forever, The Lord challenges the reaper to an arduous eight-part battle, half of which involves straightforward fights, while the other half involves obstacle-filled chases. Although the first seven stages can take up to an hour to complete, there's an opportunity to save before the last part.

However, the final conflict doesn't just test the player's skills, but their patience. The Lord never stops launching himself at the crow, charging around the room, churning out fireballs, shooting lasers, creating shockwaves, or summoning demons. Sometimes, he attacks while outside the arena, making it impossible to hit him.

Worst of all, the crow can only hit The Lord while standing right next to him. Not only that, the helmeted warrior tries to counterattack every single time our hero is near him, which is very hard to dodge.

Before engaging with The Lord of Doors, players need to make sure they have a couple of hours to spare, since this scuffle isn't going to end anytime soon.
