10 Flagging Video Game Franchise That Need To Change NOW

9. Dead Rising

Sonic The Hedgehog 2006
Capcom

Dead Rising has always been a little tongue-in-cheek when it comes to tone, but the DLC for Dead Rising 4 Frank Rising, it got a note sillier than any of us were likely expecting.

Because not only does Frank come back from the dead by becoming a zombie, he becomes back a super-powered zombie, because nothing in life is ever simple. Though this lead to some genuinely fun shenanigans, but shenanigans that felt a little too surreal for even Dead Rising.

This isn't to say that further entries in the series need to be perfectly serious, but there's a line between ridiculous and realistic that the series suits walking, instead of tumbling over into one side.

Also, it might be worth taking the focus off Frank, at least for a little while. The man has done just about everything you could expect from a hero, and come out of it still mostly intact - in fact, a best selling author. Dead Rising 2 and 3 did fine without him being the star of the show, and it's high time the poor guy got a deserved break - not to mention this would let us flesh out far more about this particular zombie apocalypse.
