10 Forgotten Gaming Characters Nintendo Needs To Revive

1. Tamagon

tamagon_by_ville10-d2ri1e0 Tamagon is the player character of the game Devil World, a maze video game not too dissimilar from Pac-Man, released in Japan in 1984 and later in Europe in 1987. Tamagon is a badass little dude that apparently decides to attack the devil world, simply because he can. There€™s a lot of religious imagery in the game, and Tamagon has to use crosses to defeat his enemies and collect bibles. Seems like some interesting thematic threads for a NES game. How could they revive Tamagon? A roguelike of course! The maze structure is perfect, and the series gameplay could be adjusted to that of a simply roguelike/action game like The Binding of Issac, which, coincidentally, also heavily features religious imagery and themes. Again, Tamagon doesn€™t need himself a major release, a Virtual Console release would suit him just fine. Devil World seemed to have a lot of interesting ideas for a NES game, maybe its concept could be expanded on today, and it no doubt be one of Nintendo€™s more unique offerings. Agree or disagree? Who do you think Nintendo should revive? Feel free to comment!
