Now for something completely different. The Sega AI Computer was a computer system released by Sega in 1986 exclusively in Japan, because Japan got most of the weird technology that’s been released. Although selling poorly, the system was apparently considered to be ahead of time.

The system seemingly only played educational games that ran off Sega Cards, the same type of cards used by the Sega consoles that were released at the time. The cards came with an overlay mat that you would place onto the machine, meaning each game could have different controls. Honestly, there isn’t much to say about the Sega AI Computer other than it sold poorly and there seems to be very little detail about the machine recorded in English. Which may show how good an educational device it was.
