4. Tiny Wings by Andreas Illiger
What an adorable game. I've always been a fan of artsy-type games and Tiny Wings is not only a fun game to play, but a very nice one to listen to and look at. I got this game on a whim, while rage deleting a different game, I'm sure, and instantly fell in love. It is a very calming game, while also being a very competitive game and offers two types of gameplay. In one game, you play as a character you name and race against the sun setting to see how far you can get while achieving the level requirements. In the other game, you play as one of four pre-named baby birds who are racing against each other to get home in their nests and win the biggest dinner. What I like so much about this game is that the more you play, the better you get at playing, which isn't always true for games (like Candy Crush). You can identify a technique to excel and get a better grasp of the world you are playing in. I think it was a very neat, though simple, idea that was executed beautifully.
