8 Games That Burdened You With Awful Companions

2. Resident Evil 5 - Sheva Alomar

CapcomCapcomOkay, this is the last entry in the zombie trio present in this list, and it's by far the worst offender of them all. If you were smart enough to play through the entirety of Resident Evil 5's campaign with a buddy by your side, then you would have been spared the torture of Sheva's awful AI. But for everyone else, the BSAA operative was just a huge pain in the behind. Aside from the fact that this article provides concrete (flimsy) proof that artificial intelligence would be entirely useless in a real zombie apocalypse, it should also be telling you that you should never trust anyone or anything but yourself when you're faced with a horde of undead that want nothing more than to eat your face. Sheva is no exception to this rule, as she'll not only become incapacitated on a regular basis (meaning you have to go out of your way to help her out), but she'll burn through any precious ammo you have acquired without actually contributing in any meaningful manner. It's for this very reason that many players treated her as a mobile second inventory, able to hold any items that you didn't immediately need. Never give her a gun, ammo or anything of importance though, she will just waste it in the most pointless way imaginable.
