10 Games That Need To Be Included On A Nintendo Game Boy Mini

9. Metroid II: Return Of Samus

Metroid II has always been the Anne Brontë in Nintendo's catalogue of Alien-inspired adventures; forgotten, generally unappreciated, but nevertheless overrated by its fans.

Nintendo's decision to remake of the game this year in the form of Metroid: Return of Samus came as something of a surprise, putting Samus' second soirée into some long-eluded limelight. The update is pretty swank, but its inspiration is actually a bit of a duffer. Like all Metroid titles, it's dripping with atmosphere - a rather stuffy, claustrophobic one in this instance - but the series' trademark sense of isolation is perhaps a bit too pronounced, thanks to the game's sparse, repetitive environments. It's a cert for inclusion though, if only as an advert for the makeover.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
