10 Games That Will Win Major Awards In 2015

5. Legend Of Zelda For Wii U

Award It Will Win: Best Wii U Game Overcoming a rocky start to life, 2014 saw the Nintendo Wii U finally living up to its potential, thanks to games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. 2015 looks set to be even better for the console though with a number of classic series finally making high-definition appearances. They don't get much more classic than the Legend Of Zelda. The series has been sorely missed on the Wii U (excluding the HD remake of Wind Waker) and with Zelda's reputation for innovative game design and unique features, it's not hard to see the new game making a big impact. Notably, the next Zelda game will embrace the concept of open world design and allow players to approach areas and dungeons in different ways. In fact, producer Eiji Aonuma has stated that he wants to reform and change dungeons and puzzle-solving in the series completely - it all sounds quite radical in concept. Typically, Nintendo are keeping quiet on exact details for now (expect a big reveal at E3 2015) but the risky nature of a Zelda overhaul might be a good thing. High-definition visuals can give new ideas and concepts life, allowing games to be more experimental - Zelda has always been an ever-evolving series and it's worked out so far. Zelda for Wii U might make extreme changes but it's unlikely Nintendo would release a game bearing that iconic name that wasn't going to be a world beater. There's still a lot to be discovered about the game but the little that has been shown is certainly exciting.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
