8. Poker - Far Cry 3

A lot of games feature poker, but very few do it justice. And while Far Cry excelled with guns, explosions and torching marijuana plantations with a flamethrower, many forget it got poker very right, too.

Entering games across the map, the poker slowly began to ramp up with the difficulty increased. Not only was it fun, but it made it largely accessible, with tutorials making it very easy to learn a game that many people find complicated.

When it comes down to it, the way the game handles poker is exceptional, with a real sense of tension to the whole scenario as you are playing against pirates and murders. It offers a nice change of pace from the main game and is one of the best games to feature Poker to date, besides maybe Red Dead Redemption. But we all know Liar’s Dice is the game to play in Red Dead.

Also, the game manages to incorporate the Poker game into the ending, giving the players who spent the time mastering it a reward for wasting half their playtime on gambling.
