10 Gaming Facts Nobody Wants To Admit

8. You Are NEVER Finishing Your Backlog (And That's OK)

There isn't a gamer among us who doesn't have a colossal backlog - with the sheer number of great games releasing every month, the absurd sales on Steam, and the Epic Games Store straight-up giving away games every week, it's basically impossible not to have a giant stack of games waiting to be played at every which moment.

And while we all tell ourselves we'll start chipping away at our backlog one day - perhaps when we're retired - you can save yourself a ton of self-inflicted anxiety by admitting you'll never get there. And that's OK.

There simply isn't enough time in the rest of most people's lives for them to finish every game they own - especially if you factor in a desire to do other things that aren't gaming - and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you're not breaking the bank.

Being at peace with the idea that you've got all these games waiting to be played, and you might or might not get around to them, is a truly liberating feeling.

Don't make gaming feel like a job by industriously trying to trim down your backlog - you play what you play, and that's it. No harm, no foul.
