10 Gaming Franchises That Desperately NEED A New Game

Capcom is having a renaissance lately, releasing stellar games that reinvent their classic series such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Monster Hunter World. These series had all grown stagnant, and were facing criticism even among their most dedicated fans before Capcom turned it around. If they can turn those series back into gems, they can do the same with Dino Crisis, an underrated Capcom survival horror franchise that died with 2003's disappointing Dino Crisis 3.

Despite not even appearing in the series' final game, and being omitted from crossover games like Marvel vs Capcom, the series' protagonist, Regina, has remained a relatively iconic gaming character. Regina has the potential to become a hugely popular character if Capcom would simply utilize her more often.

A new Dino Crisis could be important for Capcom going into the next console generation for many reasons, including keeping things fresh. They've been releasing Resident Evil games on a frequent basis, and this could lead to fans becoming burned out on the series and needing a break. Dino Crisis is mechanically similar to Resident Evil, so a new Dino Crisis game could be made using the RE Engine many recent Capcom titles use.
