8. Surreal Head Spinning - Dragon Age: Origins
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDanX-beShQ&feature=player_embedded But to get back to freaky physics, and kick-starting a trend of glitchy RPGs that's going to be pretty prevalent in this list, here's Dragon Age. During a stationery in-game dialogue scene - meaning that everything's stable and random physics shouldn't be occurring - Alistair's head non-chalantly detaches itself and starts twirling around towards the viewer, like something out of a David Lynch film. To make it all the more surreal and freaky, the head briefly goes inverted before reaching critical mass as it reaches the bounds of the player's viewpoint, returning to Alistair's body as if nothing happened. We like to think there's a sub-plot cut from the game where the player's character dropped some shrooms just before this scene, because that's how you turn a weird-ass glitch into a golden gaming moment. The same thing can also happen to Morrigan as indicated in
this video, which makes it clear that it's possible for the glitch to loop, making you want to spam the Enter button to rinse through those dialogue sections as quickly as possible.
