7. The Bird Man - Red Dead Redemption
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYdCvN-ukRY Apologies in advance for the unfortunate dose of R. Kelly that this video gives you - we suggest turning the volume down before the video starts - but what this video serves to demonstrate is one of the strangest glitches in any Rockstar game, again a sandbox title that let a fairly big oddity swoop its way through the cracks of quality control. While the game's woman-donkey hybrid is well-known by now, there's something a lot more sinister about its small breed of human-bird hybrids, which during some sections of the game float high in the sky, even holding their arms out like a bird would wings. They're easy to spot if you're playing during day-time, and appear to ascent to the sky as though the rapture is about to occur. Though the flying humans aren't outwardly threatening, they're sinister because they fly around like it's the most normal thing in the world, going about their business - whatever the Hell that is - and falling to the ground as you inevitably begin to fire away at them. It gets weirder, though; when you shoot them, feathers even explode out of their corpses - along with a bloody mist - making it clear that someone at Rockstar is either having a big laugh, or is a complete idiot as far as programming goes. Still, the first time you meet these beasties, it's more unsettling then amusing, and makes you wonder whether the game is about to take a strange, surreal turn.
