10 Gaming Glitches That Will Totally Freak You Out

2. Hyper-Spiders - Skyrim

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=B2ebvFhQqwQ Here's one glitch that actually made shivers run down my spine. As if spiders aren't bad enough in real life, Skyrim has loads of giant ones that you'll have to slay to progress, and this glitch, as if just to scare the living Bajesus out of every arachnophobe playing the game, forces them to contend with these spazzy, spinning versions, too. The fact that they move around is what really does it, too; multiple viewings of the video has actually created a sinking feeling in my stomach, and I don't consider myself that much of an arachnophobe; perhaps I'm wrong if this game is anything to go by. In a sense, it's a glitch that might improve the game's effectiveness if this spider's lair is meant to be creepy and unsettling; granted, now it might send the viewer into a full-tilt panic attack, but that's a sight more intense than anything else in any of the other Elder Scrolls games. We imagine a bunch of devs watching the various YouTube videos of these glitches, reading the comments and then laughing manically to themselves at the beasts they've created and the terror they've stuck into the hearts of many. Bethesda, please don't put them in the next one. Please. Seriously.
