10 Gaming Moments Everyone Wishes They Could Unsee
5. The Dinner Dance - Infinite Undiscovery
Square Enix's action-RPG Infinite Undiscovery lives on almost 15 years after its release thanks primarily to one meme-worthy scene that represents some of the most cringe-inducing writing and voice acting the medium has ever seen.
During one of the game's cutscenes, twins Rico and Rucha inform player character Capell that it's dinner time, and that he should join them.
After announcing their hunger, Rico and Rucha then dance off into the distance while singing "Dinner, dinner, dinner!," with Capell eventually joining in on the dancing and singing.
Party member Aya is basically the player at this point, looking on in horrified disgust at this painfully awkward display, before begrudgingly joining the trio for some grub.
Look, it's a JRPG so some cringe is basically par the course due to the dialogue being translated from Japanese to English, but even so, this horrendous exchange delivers a thermonuclear level of second-hand embarrassment.
And of course, fans have offered up their own hellish remixes of the infamous scene.
