You know what the totality of human existence could've gone without seeing or even thinking about? Cloud Strife's o-face.

In the generally brilliant Wall Market section of Final Fantasy VII Remake, players are introduced to the new character Madam M, who operates a massage parlour in the area.

Cloud and company end up visiting the parlour for a rubdown, though when Madam M informs them that the parlour specialises in hand massages, she's actually being far more literal than anyone expected.

Indeed, Madam M's business consists of rubbing customers' hands in sensual and relaxing ways, and that's it.

Yet it doesn't take much reading between the lines to see what Square Enix is getting at here, and if you select the luxury massage option, you'll be treated to a traumatic cutscene in which Cloud receives quite the, er, handjob.

In the scene, Madam M seductively applies hand cream to Cloud's fingers, tells him to relax and starts kneading away. The shots are frequently framed to imply that Madam M is doing more than rubbing his hand, and the quasi-orgasmic reaction shots from Cloud only further seal the deal.

This all reaches a literal climax when Madam M works the fingers more vigorously, and upon asking Cloud if this is how he likes it, he lets out a loud moan of pleasure before the scene mercifully ends.

Sure, Square Enix was clearly having fun with fans here, but did any of us really need to see Cloud's face while going through the vinegar strokes?
