10 Gaming Myths You Won't Believe People Actually Buy Into

1. Fallout 3 Predicts The Future

vg-urban-leg-falloutradio How do you like to use games? To unwind after a hard day? To keep the kids entertained maybe? How about using games to predict future events? Yes, it's an insane notion, but there's a belief going around the internet that Fallout 3 is doing just that. Fallout 3 features a radio station that sometimes plays a string of morse code along with a series of numbers. This is real morse code and can be pretty helpful in uncovering hidden loot. However, people have construed the mixture of morse code and numbers as something far more sinister than in-game advice. According to some fans on a Fallout forum, this numbers station is actually relaying messages that predict events in the future, such as the death of Queen Elizabeth II and, of all things, Britney Spears winning an Oscar. The original forum post has apparently been deleted and Bethesda has said that there's no truth in the rumour. After all, if a group of games developers could predict the future I doubt they would be making games anymore. Like this article? Agree? Disagree? Let us know in the comments section below.
