10 Gaming Sequels We Wish Didn’t Exist

1. True Crime: Streets of New York

true crime 600x300 No list of crappy gaming sequels would be complete without this master class of how to not make a game. Put up against Grand Theft Auto, True Crime: Streets of LA fared reasonably well. It was in essence the same type of game but with the cop/criminal elements reversed and a gifted cast to pull it off. While Streets of New York boasted a good cast, the dialogue and story is horribly inept. Technically, the frame rate of the game is awful and continuously drops out, as well as causing more than the occasional freeze. From such humble, improbably beginnings, the True Crime series died with this unfinished mass of pixels. While the first game laid a good foundation to build a platform from which to take on Rockstar's legendary sandbox, the second game took a wrecking ball to everything and left the market with only one choice, Rockstar's choice. Weak characters, weaker story, and poor gameplay is compounded by game-stopping bugs and errors. This unfinished game was a massive waste of money and hope. Agree or disagree with the list? Can you think of any we have missed? Let us know in the comments below.
