10 Garbage Games Everybody Bought Anyway
3. 50 Cent: Bulletproof
With 50 Cent's career on the rise during the millennium, the hip-hop rapper started popping up in everything, including films, cartoons, and reality tv shows.
And so, it was only a matter of time before the Grammy winner had his own video game. Sure enough, 50 Cent: Bulletproof hit the shelves in 2005, with a PSP port released the following year. In Genuine Games' gritty shooter, 50 Cent takes him upon himself to hunt down the men who left him for dead.
Bulletproof seemed like a lot of fun on the surface, since it offered gun-toting street-action, plenty of music from the lead star's catalogue, and appearances from Dr. Dre and Eminem.
Ironically, the critics reminded everyone it was anything but bulletproof. With its tiresome missions, lazy combat, and capricious aiming, 50 Cent: Bulletproof had "vanity project" written all over it.
But since the multimillionaire musician was at the top of his game at the time, this dreck made a profit. It did so well, it spawned a sequel called 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand (which wasn't half-bad).
With that said, not even 50 Cent purists should waste a moment on this abomination.
