If you're a fan of JRPGs then you really do owe it to yourself to play through Final Fantasy VI (or Final Fantasy III if you're from across the pond), it has aged beautifully and is every bit as captivating as any other instalment in the franchise.

Whilst on your quest to stop Kefka, you'll come across the Phantom Forest. A luscious, yet spooky, landscape that houses the Phantom Train, a dungeon that must be conquered to allow you passage into the next area. At the final stretch, the train itself becomes a boss that you must fight whilst simultaneously running away.

For a game that's nearly twenty-seven years old, it's still an incredibly thrilling and tense encounter; or at least it would be if it wasn't for one small factor.

The Phantom Train is classified as an undead creature, therefore meaning that your party's healing abilities can cause it damage. Players figured out that this actually went one step further and by using a Phoenix Down, you can kill it instantly.

This nifty little exploit turns what should be a tense and thrilling battle into a mere bump in the road.
