9. Roxas and Axel (Kingdom Hearts Series)
A bromance that we're first exposed to in the background of its game, the minute we see Axel, the minute we realize his love for Roxas. He pleads with Roxas over and over though to no avail as Roxas does not remember him. Axel then decides to kill Roxas thinking it is futile to save him. Though mysterious at first, his whole purpose and being in Kingdom Hearts 2 was to see Roxas again after he merged with Sora. He wanted to kidnap Kairi so that Sora could turn into a Heartless again, thereby releasing Roxas so they could go running off in the hills together. He even sacrifices himself because he "wanted to see Roxas" as "he was the only one I liked" and made him feel like he "had a heart". On Roxas' side, Axel was his first and best friend, which immediately gives him the amount of clingy-ness that Axel shows. Though Roxas has more important things to do in the story than focusing on Axel, it's clear he feels the same way. Funny that they don't necessarily end up "together".
