10 Great Songs You Associate With Great Games

7. "Song 2" By Blur

FIFA: Road to the World Cup 98, aka FIFA 98, was a best selling installment in the long running sports game franchise. Some have tried to make the argument that it's not just the best soccer video game ever made, but the best sports video game of all time.

"Song 2" by Blur was one of several tunes on the soundtrack and the one most closely associated with the game. There were only six licensed songs here, four of which were by The Crystal Method, so this one really stood out.

Plus, it's an amped up track that brings out the soccer hooligan in you.

The irony of "Song 2" is that it's one of Blur's most popular and recognized songs, but they reputedly wrote it as a structural parody of what was getting radio play at that time. Still, the formula works.
