10 Great Video Game Developers Who Haven't Made Anything Good For Years

Oh Bioware, you were once so dependable.

Mass Effect, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate - even under-the-radar gems like Jade Empire might not have sold, but maintained their stellar reputation as Western RPG wizards.

And then Mass Effect 3 happened.

2012 was a disastrous year for the studio, as not only did ME3 see Bioware and EA the target of various online harassment campaigns focused on the game's ending, but the following years would see a mass exodus of almost every key member of staff.

Struggling to get the gang back together, we had the thoroughly middling Dragon Age: Inquisition, the promising-and-then-cancelled Shadow Realms, the hilariously terrible Mass Effect Andromeda and the full-on "F**k this" flop of Anthem.

At this stage, many fans are wondering if EA are going to sever ties with the studio, but thanks to them announcing Dragon Age 4 without their knowledge, Bioware appear to have enough irons in the fire to avoid a public execution.
