Is Super Smash Bros. Wii U the best Smash Bros. ever made? Perhaps not. Does it have the roster that finally realised the full potential of the franchise's concept? Absolutely. The initial launch of Smash Bros. Wii U already gave players enough characters to last a lifetime, but it's the additions made through the game's DLC program that put it over the top. Even though Smash Bros. had long established a reputation for dream match ups, if you had told fans just a few years ago that we have a game where Ryu can take on Pac-Man, Sonic, and Cloud Strife in a Mushroom Kingdom-themed level, you would have been rightfully committed for insanity. But that is exactly what this roster is. Delicious, giggle-inducing insanity.
