6. Clank (Ratchet And Clank Series)

Why is Clank an great wing man? To begin with, dude's a freaking robot, which automatically garners awesome points! But love him or hate him, Clank is simply essential to the series. After being born in and escaping from a robot factory on the planet Quartu, Clank encounters Ratchet and the duo sets off to save the universe. Clank immediately becomes indispensable when the duo acquires a new ship that requires Clank's assistance to power up.

From there, he continues to prove himself a useful, if sometimes annoying, ally. With an arsenal of weapons and abilities, including the Heli-Pack, Thruster-Pack, and Hydro-Pack, Clank is helpful in combat and exploration.
