7. Elena and Sully (Uncharted Series)

Ah, Elena and Sully. The Uncharted series is one of my favorites for a number of reasons, including its cinematic gameplay, great storylines, and witty dialogue. And a great series surely needs some great companions. Enter Elena and Sully. Elena is a hard-hitting journalist whose company funds Drake's initial voyage to unearth the coffin of Sir Francis Drake. She quickly becomes an indispensable wing man and love interest for Drake throughout the series. Intelligent and compassionate, Elena isn't afraid to pick up a handgun, fire a grenade launcher, venture through the streets of war-torn Nepal, or tear down walls to free Drake from prison.

On the other hand, Sully is more of a mentor-type figure for Drake. Acting almost as a father figure, Sully contributes to the game in a number of ways. He rescues Elena and Drake by plane in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. He bails Drake out of jail at the beginning of Uncharted: Among Thieves. He often misdirects the attention of the game's enemies in order to cover Drake's movements. And he always plays a role of support for Drake. For these reasons, this dynamic duo lands at number 7.
