10 Greatest MTG One Drops Of All Time

7. Noble Hierarch

Mana dorks, as the one mana tap cards are affectionately known, have always been a staple in decks which rely on their early high mana cost plays, essentially putting you into the late-game when your opponent is still in the mid-game.

Green especially thrives in this regard, with easily the most amount of ramp spells is any given set, though rather than tapping to add a green mana to your pool like the elf mana dorks, Noble Hierarch gets the option of adding green, white or blue every time she taps. This can work in decks with any of those colours or all 3 as this works well to round out any gaps in your mana base.

Also, the exalted ability is a nice little +1/+1 buff for creatures that attack alone, an unnecessary ability on what is already such as strong card but one that only makes it that much more powerful.
