2. Chrono Trigger
Music: Chrono Trigger Main Theme Although Nobuo Uematsu scored some of the music for the seminal Chrono Trigger, most tracks were by Yasunori Mitsuda. You couldn't ask for a better team, and the music in the game is a testament to that. This particular track is played as an inspirational theme. When all hope seems lost, this music kicks in and characters and player alike decide that, yes, the odds may be against you, but you're the only one the can save the past, present and future fate of the planet. The entire soundtrack is fantastic in its own right, let alone when accompanied by the amazing story of Chrono Trigger. Well before Squaresoft and Enix became Square-Enix, the "dream-team" collaborated on one of the best RPG's of all time. The eagle-eyed anime fans amongst you may notice a striking similarity between the characters pictured above and the work of Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball Z fame. Well, he worked extensively on this game in many capacities. This game really does have everything going for it. There is not enough time or space to praise the virtues of Chrono Trigger. Suffice it to say, play the game, save the world.
