10 Greatest RPGs Of All Time
3. Fallout 4
The Fallout series is one of Bethesda's biggest earners, and its not hard to understand why.
The franchise takes place in an alternate future in which nuclear war has decimated the world, and the player must navigate the dangerous post-apocalyptic landscape and its numerous inhabitants, many of which are horribly mutated.
The first two main Fallout titles were top-down RPGs, but Fallout 3 saw the franchise move into a first-person perspective, a change which proved incredibly popular with players.
2015 saw the release of Fallout 4, the biggest, most in-depth game of the series so far.
Giving players of the franchise the level of choice that they had become accustomed to, Bethesda Studios doubled down and added a number of new mechanics into the game, including the ability to build and customise their own settlements across the game world.
The Fallout series has always been a well-respected mainstay in the RPG genre, but Fallout 4 took the strengths of previous titles and built upon them, affording the player with an even richer, more rewarding experience.
