How It's Activated: Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.
What It Does: It's impossible to talk about video game cheats without mentioning the most iconic and best-known cheat there is; the famous Konami Code. The code could be activated on a number of Konami video games, and the results were always sublime; the most famous game to make use of the code is without question the infamously difficult Contra, with the code giving you 30 lives instead of the regulation 3 (which makes the game damn-near impossible). The code is so pervasive throughout gaming and general pop-culture these days that there are even songs written about it, and for that reason, it positively has to take the #1 spot.
