10 Greatest Video Game Trailers Of 2013 So Far
1. Final Fantasy XV
At last the long awaited Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been revived with its new name Final Fantasy XV, now I know there was rumours flying around about how this game was cancelled, and was not going to be released. However they have been proven as wrong as Square Enix has shown by releasing this wonderful trailer.
This may not be as good as the Metal Gear Solid trailer in terms of technical skills, but it is fairly close. This trailer makes good use of what it has, showing us a fair amount of gameplay and story. From this trailer we can see that Final Fantasy has once again attempted to evolve and make huge changes from its previous games.
Here is the trailer that has taken the number 1 spot:The voice acting is slightly above that of Metal Gear Solid, to me it seemed a bit more dramatic given that its in Japanese and they are the kings of drama, which makes it one the games unique selling points. Given all the factors such as graphics, voice acting, action sequences, music and story, both trailers are fairly well matched although Final Fantasy has the edge when it comes to music and voice acting.
While the Metal Gear Solid trailer was effectively cinematic sequences on top of a song titled Not your kind of people from a band called Garbage, it reminded me of a professional AMV edited with impeccable skills. However the music in Final Fantasy is a lot more natural and alive, adapting to the situation. It is more like it was played live rather than just a recording placed in a cinematic video. This is what gave Final Fantasy the edge to come out on top.
Here is a bonus gameplay video that I found very appealing, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBilT83Uq4A
