10 Hardest Video Game Achievements To Unlock

2. Mein Leben - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus

The Achievement: "Beat the game on 'Mein leben' difficulty."

There are achievements which ask players to beat games on a ludicrously challenging difficulty level, and then there's the "Mein leben" achievement in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

The 'cheev requires players to beat the game on the hardest difficulty, "Mein leben," without dying. Oh, and there are no checkpoints.

Basically, you'll want to practise extensively on the next-toughest difficulty, "I am death incarnate," before even thinking about tacking Mein leben.

To make matters more irritating, the game has a lot of unskippable in-engine scenes where the player is simply forced to sit back and watch, making it even more of a chore to power through - especially if you end up dying right at the start of the game and have to watch the 10-minute opening again.

Simply, you need the patience and constitution of a Trappist monk to make it through this, which is why just 0.01% of Xbox owners have unlocked the achievement. Life is too short for nonsense like this.
