8. The Patriarch - Wasteland 3
The Patriarch from Wasteland 3 is the ruler of Colorado Springs and one of the game's final bosses that can turn on you depending on what choices you've made throughout the story.
Actually, you don't even have to play through the story to antagonize him, as you can technically do it as early as in the intro of the game, provided you're really bad with choosing the right words.
After you beat the tutorial, you get to meet the Patriarch, who will personally welcome you to Colorado and provide with the details of your mission.
Normally, the Patriarch leaves after showing you your base of operation, but if you choose all the wrong dialogue options and accidentally aggrevate him, the ruler of Colorado will decide to put you in your place and attack you.
The boss fight that triggers afterward is an unwinnable death sentence, given that you're still at level one and you can't possibly dish out enough damage to take the Patriarch down while he has all the power to kill your squad one by one.
