10 Hardest Video Game Enemies They Had To Patch
1. Marauder - DOOM Eternal
There aren't many enemies that come to mind who can halt your progression as abruptly as Doom Eternal's Marauder. As a demonic equivalent of the player's own Doom Slayer, he wields a number of powerful attacks, including a double-barrel shotgun - one of the series' most famously powerful weapons.
Marauders are lightning fast, can attack from any range, and can summon demon wolves. If that weren't enough, they're also nearly invincible, only vulnerable to attack for a brief moment when they ready their axe - an attack they only perform at medium range.
So not only are they overpowered, but you also have to keep them at a precise distance while dealing with wolves and any other enemies in the area.
In a game that emphasizes constant movement the Marauder was wildly out of place. And you have to fight a bunch of them over the course of the game. Thank God Id saw fit to nerf the hell out of them.
Not only are they now weaker and have a wider window of vulnerability, Doom Eternal's DLC also added the Sentinel Hammer, a, overpowered weapon they are defenseless to.
It's arguably too much, but still entirely preferable to what was.
