10 Hidden Dialogues In Video Games

9. Trapped In Room - Portal (2007)

Calendar Man Arkham City
Valve

Portal is often cited among the greatest video games of all time, which is hardly surprising when you know it came from the minds of Half-Life creators Valve. There truly is no loose end left untied - so much so that there's even a built-in message specifically for players who try to bend the rules.

In a handful of test chambers, if timed just right, the player can manage to trap themselves behind a door that was supposed to close before you could get to it. There's no way out of the tiny room once you're in...or so it seems.

As soon as you become aware that you've buggered things up, GLaDOS will chime in with a message stating that you have "managed to ensnare yourself permanently inside this room". You don't say!

However, her next line of dialogue will trigger an escape hatch to open, freeing you from whatever quagmire you've got yourselves in.

Valve really thought of everything here, didn't they?
