10 Hidden Dialogues In Video Games

8. The Back Of The Sign - Pokémon X And Y (2013)

Calendar Man Arkham City

There's a weird recurring trend in the Pokémon video game series of chilling ghostly activity going on right when you least expect it.

From the ghost of Lavender Town's Pokémon Tower to a shadowy figure watching your battle against Elite Four Phoebe, Nintendo just can't seem to resist giving us that repeated shiver down our unprepared spines.

Pokémon X and Y in particular have a good few of these. In Lumiose City train station, a run-of-the-mill signpost displays train times and platform numbers just like you'd expect. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

It's only when you walk behind the sign and press A that you'll be greeted with a completely different kind of message: "I'm going to go for help. Wait in the usual place."

Well, this suddenly took a dark turn.

If you're looking for a concrete explanation for this, you're going to be disappointed, though many speculate the sign is somehow related to the ghost girl that can be seen floating past you in a nearby office building. Not that that makes it any less creepy. When did Pokémon turn into Paranormal Activity?!
