10 Hidden Playable Video Game Characters You Totally Missed

I'm willing to bet not many people played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on the PC. After all, these were the days before controllers for PC games became mainstream. Can you imagine playing THPS on a keyboard? The human hand was simply not meant to contort like that.

By THPS3, fans knew to expect the unexpected when it came to the series' awesome cast of unlockable characters. From original creations like Officer Dick and Private Carrera, to familiar faces like Spider-Man and Darth Maul.

But by far the most obscure of these was Doom Guy, the iconic space marine protagonist of the Doom series. Only available in the PC version of THPS3, Doom Guy was actually easy to unlock simply by entering the cheat code "idkfa," which should be familiar to players of Doom and Doom II as the code to unlock all weapons.

However, even thinking to enter that old cheat code into a Tony Hawk game would require psychic abilities. To this day people are still surprised to learn he's in the game at all.
