10 Hidden Video Game Bosses You Weren't Meant To Fight
6. Stray Demon - Dark Souls
Although most players would call Dark Souls bosses unfair, you can't deny that at the very least they have the courtesy to announce their presence by politely waiting for you behind big white walls of fog.
Except the Stray Demon.
Unlike other bosses, the Stray Demon prefers to stay hidden behind more inconspicuous means of cover, and that's because he isn't really meant to be found.
The big fat blob of evil is a nasty surprise that lurks for those who wonder what will happen if they return to the starting location.
Well, what happens is that when you blissfully return to the arena where you fought the game's first boss, perhaps to reminisce about your hard-fought victory, the floor beneath your feet will suddenly collapse and you'll be thrown into a surprise boss fight with the Asylum Demon's bigger and stronger cousin.
The boss fight is the rare case of a Dark Souls boss that doesn't act as an obstacle but rather a sneaky trap for unsuspecting players who needed to be punished for assuming there is such a thing as a safe place in Dark Souls.
As if any of the series' fans needed more punishment.
