Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a completionist's nightmare. You'll need to rummage across the lands and seas to find Templar Keys, letters in bottles, shanties, naval contracts, treasure chests, Animus fragments, and manuscripts. Now, most of these items are superfluous, meaning you should only seek them out if you're looking for that sweet, sweet 100% completion rating.

But one collectible worth finding is the Mayan stelae. By locating all 16 of these ancient keystones, you'll be able to open a vault in Tulum, which gives you access to the Mayan Armour. This protective plating is so sturdy, it renders you immune to all firearms.

At first, this feels like a nice bonus. But only after you're in the thick of battle while wearing the armour do you truly grasp its benefits. When a sniper has you in his crosshairs while you're slicing and dicing through enemies, you usually have to flee or kill the shooter to avoid being done in by a stray bullet.

Since projectiles bounce off you while wearing the Mayan attire, you can hack and slash to your heart's content, knowing for a fact that anyone who wields firearms can't touch you.
