In The Stanley Parable, you play as a silent office worker who goes about his building while the narrator dictates his actions. When you come across diverging pathways, you can choose to abide or contradict the narrator, which will drastically alter the narrative.

When The Stanley Parable launched in 2013, its originality, dark humour, and themes on the futility of choice made a massive impact on the gaming scene. So, fans were thrilled when the expanded edition, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, was released this year.

But what would be included that wasn't in the original? Well, if you complete enough endings, you can access the expanded section. At the end of this area, you will be rewarded with... a bucket. At first, many players assume this steel container is a joke item, which will have little to no bearing on the narrative.

On the contrary, carrying the bucket changes the narrator's dialogue, creates brand-new divergent paths, and opens up different endings. After you realise the effects the bucket has on the story, you'll want to revisit every section to see what has changed. (Also, it's absolutely hilarious when the narrator starts narrating the bucket's dialogue.)
