As frustrating as glitches are, you can understand why they are a part of video games. Coding software is so astoundingly difficult, it's not too hard to believe there will be a few blips here and there, especially if the player performs a series of actions that the programmers never expected.

The same cannot be said about Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. There is a bug that is so easy to perform, it's bewildering how the developers never caught it. If you jump while playing as Knuckles, then pause and unpause the game, it will cancel the jump command, meaning you can jump again. If you keep pausing and unpausing, you can skip huge sections with little to no effort. You can also reach areas that the player was never meant to access, causing the game to freeze.

Now, you'd assume that this minor problem would be so easy to fix, SEGA patched it as soon as possible. On the contrary, SEGA didn't know how to correct this error and so, had to remake entire levels with a working Knuckles instead.
